About Kathy Kay

She is an experienced artist who favours subjects such as seascapes, landscapes, boats and flowers but has undertaken numerous commissions of various subjects. Her favourite medium is oil on canvas but she has completed many water colours.

This talented artist completed a series of works depicting the joy and enthusiasm that surrounded the world cup soccer. In particular she successfully and skilfully captured the enthusiasm and devotion of South African youth for the game.

Having travelled extensively throughout South Africa and surrounding countries she has been exposed to the vibrancy and warmth of the country and its colourful people, which is reflected in her art. Kathy’s love of colour and the effect of light at different times of the day has been depicted in her recent paintings of markets and rice fields following a recent trip to Madagascar.”
